After revisiting some classics like the Air Force 1 and the Air Jordan 1 Virgil Abloh is tackling .
The Retro Off-White Sail features a monochrome upper with an ultra-vintage feel. A cream-colored leather base pairs with a grid-style side cage and synthetic elements like the wings and frosted TPU heel counter. The usual “SHOELACES” lettering on the laces and the “AIR” logo above the Air bubble are added as a signature, as are the Off-White and Air Jordan labels attached to the laces. Finally, frayed stitching and a seemingly unfinished ankle collar complete this silhouette, which is all about texture and material play .
With a design that is completely different from what Virgil Abloh has offered on his sneaker collaborations to date, the Retro Off-White Sail is sure to spark interest in the community.
